Crazy snail is the best motorcycle rental in Madeira. They have motorcycles in great condition, equipment (helmets, side cases) is also great. The experience was quick, easy and hassle free. Next time I’m back in Funchal, I’ll rent from them again.
The whole process of rental with Crazy Snail was extremely easy. I had a Tenere 700 for one week and toured the whole island. Dimitri was super responsive and helpful (even when I accidentally broke the key to the top case, he helped me get it fixed). Pick up, return, and all paperwork were clearly communicated, quick, and easy. I would 100% recommend renting here. And would definitely recommend 500cc+ for anyone going with a passenger up and around the crazy Madeira hills.
On the Honda Forza 350cc scooter, we've lived the most wonderful days of our lives. Alongside my wife, we explored every corner of the island without any issues. This scooter proves to be extremely reliable, giving us the sensation of an authentic motorcycle. It has ample storage space under the seat and consumes very little fuel. We had a complete experience. As for the owners, they are truly exceptional. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the support!

For car rentals, you need a valid driver’s license category “B” or equivalent. If you’re renting a motorbike, you will need a motorcycle license cat. A2 or A for bikes over 125cc. For 125cc scooter or motorcycle cat. A1 if you’re younger than 25 y.o., or cat. B for drivers over 25 y.o. International visitors should bring their home country driver’s license, and depending on the rental type, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required.

We do not have any age restrictions. If you have valid driving licence and at least 1 year of experience, you can rent any vehicle with us.

No, it’s not necessary to have a credit card. We accept credit cards, debit cards and cash.
