I rented a Honda CB500X for a few days and everything went great from start to finish. The bike was in top condition, reliable, clean and perfect for discovering all corners of Madeira and powerful enough with my girlfriend on the back. Prices were fair, the terms were clear, and there were no hidden fees. Good insurance option also, it gave me real peace of mind during the trip. Would rent again here.

Crazy snail is the best motorcycle rental in Madeira. They have motorcycles in great condition, equipment (helmets, side cases) is also great. The experience was quick, easy and hassle free. Next time I’m back in Funchal, I’ll rent from them again.

**Negative Aspects**: My wife and I rented the Honda Forza 350 scooter for 14 days. Unfortunately, I must say that the accident and damage insurance was not transparently communicated on the website. It only states "Security deposit: CDW or 500Eur". The insurance (CDW) for the 14 days was approximately as expensive as the rental cost for the scooter itself, meaning the scooter cost us 630 Euros for 14 days. This was never communicated to me (despite being in communication for months beforehand). When I wanted to rent the scooter in the shop at the agreed price, I learned about the immense insurance cost. At that moment, I had no choice but to purchase the insurance because otherwise, we would have had to conduct a detailed (and possibly hours-long) scooter handover including elaborate handover photos. At a price of 37€ per day, I would have expected this to represent an all-inclusive package, which unfortunately was not the case. The "3rd party liability insurance" explicitly communicated on the website has nothing to do with this and is covered by most liability insurance policies anyway - therefore unnecessary to highlight as a special feature. I felt fraudulently deceived, especially due to the fact that we had been in communication for months beforehand and had already reserved the scooter - but insurance was never mentioned. **Positive Aspects**: Nevertheless, the scooter was in perfect condition and handled very well. Communication via WhatsApp was seamless. We rode approximately 1000km across the entire island and after the 14 days, we concluded that although the price was extremely high for the scooter, it was worth it because Madeira is a unique and beautiful island. **Reason for 5 Star Rating**: Despite the insurance issue described at the beginning, I'm giving 5 stars for the following reasons: - The underhanded concealment of the immense insurance amount is not illegal but unfortunately common practice for car and scooter rentals. - The scooter was in top condition (matching the image on the website) - tires, brakes, seats, and padding all excellent. - Communication was smooth and quick. - We received our deposit of 50 euros back within 24 hours. - Staff is friendly and helpful (recommended a good scooter shop when I wanted to have the tires checked - the scooter shop "Bike Power" in Funchal did this free of charge)

Very positive experience. Swapped out bike when i had technical problem halfway through the 2week rent. Decent deal. Not pushy and very clear about insurance options. Also very friendly owner. Provided additional helmet for a few hours when i unexpectly needed one.
